Helping you, to understand you ❊
Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, a quiet sense of loneliness or feeling stuck in yourself and your life.
01In our sessions, you don’t have to hold it all together or find the right words. We simply talk, and I listen closely to what you’re experiencing, not only what you say, but also what you feel and what lies beneath it.
02There is something quietly powerful about being fully seen and heard by another person. It is rare in everyday life, yet it can be deeply grounding.
03Over time, working together can help emotions feel less confusing. Not because everything is resolved quickly, but because you begin to understand yourself more clearly and, from there, move through life with more choice, purpose and grace.
04Expertise and understanding
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent over 35 years in the aviation industry - as an engineer, pilot and flight instructor. Much of my work required great responsibility, precision, and calm decision-making, often in high-pressure situations. Alongside this, I worked internationally with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, which sparked a lasting curiosity about how we communicate, cope, make sense of ourselves and the world around us.
That experience taught me to listen carefully, think deeply, stay steady and avoid rushing to judgement, especially when things feel complex or unclear.
I am a Psychotherapist in advanced training in Transactional Analysis and a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA) and the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA). This training comprises extensive clinical practice, personal therapy, and academic study undertaken over several years.
I am based in Cornwall, where I offer in-person therapy and ecotherapy. Online sessions are available if preferred or more suitable. Ecotherapy offers an alternative to meeting indoors. Sessions take place in nature, involving a gentle walk-and-talk in a rural or coastal setting.
My goal is to provide you with a calm, thoughtful space where you can slow down, feel truly heard, reflect, and begin to understand what’s going on for you in a more grounded way.
Approach
Therapy as a relational experience
My approach is relational, which means I see therapy as something we do together.
I don’t believe people need fixing. Sometimes we simply need time, space, and support to understand ourselves more clearly.
Together, we’ll explore emotions, patterns, relationships, and experiences that may be shaping how you feel and behave today. Greater understanding brings clarity and autonomy, helping you navigate life in ways that feel more peaceful, grounded, and manageable.

Alongside my private practice, I dedicate one day each week pro bono to a low-cost counselling service.
If your financial circumstances make therapy difficult to access, I can put you in contact with this service.
Initial Consultation
I offer a complimentary introductory telephone conversation.
This gives us the opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy, explore your needs, and decide whether working together feels right for you.
Session Fees
Individual Psychotherapy Session: £75
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held weekly, although this can be discussed depending on your needs.
